October Update - Gearing up for next season

It feels crazy to think the 2025 NASCAR season is already coming to a close next week. Before we all take a break from the action for the offseason, I wanted to share more updates on the website overhaul for next season.

Quick Note for the New Site Launch

If you’ve read the previous posts the past few months, you know we are overhauling our fantasy platform for next season. This is the last season with our current site.

🏁 Launch Details

  • Go-Live Date: December 1, 2025
  • URL: https://www.speedwaycollective.com (same as always)
  • What to expect: Email notification when the new platform is ready

Important Note About League History

Your 2025 league standings and history will remain viewable on the old site via a separate URL which I will share before switching to the new platform. While league data from 2025 and older won't be migrated by launch in December, we will work to migrate as much as possible shortly after. Starting in 2026, league data will be preserved year-over-year, allowing you to build career stats and view historical league performance.

Driver statistics from previous seasons will be available on the new platform at launch or shortly after.

What Happens to My Old Account?

Under the hood, the user accounts on the new site are completely separate. I am working to make it possible to sign in using your existing passwords. However, we may prompt you to update your password during your first time signing in to the new site. I will share additional information on this before launch!

Update 10/29 - If you played in the past two seasons, your accounts have been migrated. You are welcome to sign in to the new site! For new visitors, you are free to create an account.

If anyone has trouble, or has a question, please email me at speedwaycollective@gmail.com and I will get back to you!

When Can I Create A League for 2026

You will be able to create your league, or join leagues for the 2026 season immediately after signing in to the new platform after launch.

New Features for Next Season

We have been working almost daily to get the new site ready for next season. I am excited to share the new site with everyone this offseason. It will be faster to resolve bugs and introduce new features. We also have a feedback form setup at the bottom of the new site, so please submit any feedback if you find a bug, or have ideas on how to improve the site!

Charts and Standings By Week

We are introducing a new feature to view data via graphical charts. Our first chart will be viewing league member standings by week. For example, you can select a league member, and visually see their standings position after each race of the season, and see if they have been trending upward or downward.

You will also be able to select a race from dropdown when viewing the standings, to see a view of what the standings were after a specific race.

Have an idea for a chart? Let us know!

Email Reminders

We are introducing the option to receive a number of different email notifications. These will be opt-in only, meaning we won’t spam you with a bunch of emails. However, within your profile, you will be able to select which email notifications you would like to receive. Some email notifications include:

  • Getting a reminder 24 hours before roster lock
  • Receiving weekly recaps of your league standings
  • Signing up for monthly newsletter with fantasy strategy tips

Onboarding Flow

The new platform introduces a new feature: separate rosters for each league you join. We are changing from having a single roster per series, to being able to have a separate roster for every league you are in. This is a pretty big fundamental shift, which will allow you to join multiple leagues for each series, and have a different roster for each.

To help adjust to the new platform, users will go through a brief onboarding workflow when first signing in after launch. This will guide you through getting setup with your first league, and creating your roster from there.

New Fantasy Dashboard

Once you are logged in to the site, your homepage will be a fantasy dashboard, where you can quickly view:

  • Fantasy leaderboard
  • Latest driver results
  • Upcoming race information
  • Leagues and rosters

This will be your command center for quickly viewing and updating your fantasy teams in one place.

Default Scoring Adjustment

To align with NASCAR’s scoring, we will be including bonus points for having the driver with the fastest lap during a race! The scoring will reflect this during the live updates while a race is in progress. There will also be a Fastest Lap column when viewing driver scoring to see which driver received the bonus points.
